Interdisciplinary Research Center on Biology and Chemistry (IRCBC) in the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, uses interdisciplinary approaches including cell biology, neurobiology and chemistry to investigate the molecular basis of human diseases, particularly neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and other neurodegenerative diseases associated with aging. IRCBC strives to develop innovative solutions for the treatment of these devastating diseases that have huge negative impacts on human health.
